1st June 2024 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: Saturday 1st June - walk *** – Around Felixstowe Ferry – sunny periods. The fresh wind from the north continues today but at least its not raining and we were treated to some sunshine:) It was the last day for Arlo, Robert and Hannah so had another pretty full on day but at least Arlo got up at a decent time and once again we started with pancakes, I am getting a dab hand at them. We played Arlos’s board game, made a small brio track and had Bakugan battles with Arlo playing Mary Popins with our muti-coloured umbrella but I drew the line at him jumping off off our roof! Then after lunch we all drove over to Felixstowe Ferry were Arlo crabbed for the first time, as you can’t crab off the jetty we found a nice spot down the Deben opposite Bawdsey Manor by a groyne and caught about 30, everyone had a great time too:) Arlo and I had some fun on the rocks, he took some pics for a photo competition before continuing through the boatyard and out onto the Deben path, then showed Arlo the famous yellow boat and hippos before returning home for a quiet hour watching a film before the Granddaughter arrived with mum and dad for a nnice evening, lovely to all get together around the table for a Chinese. Then the company was gone and we went to bed absolutely shattered but didn’t sleep until we had a message saying Arlo, Rob and Hannah had arrived home safely! Photo Album here |
